Greetings Flyer Families! I am so hopeful that the second semester of the school year will be one focused on student growth as we try to prepare for the next grade level! Our FLYERS are awesome, and we want them all to be successful!

It is very important that students keep their grades up. Attendance is equally as important since students can't make progress if they are not in class. Since returning from Covid, we have had several issues with attendance. Students should be here unless they are sick or have an appointment. We have a nurse full time, so most issues can be dealt with here at school.

On the school website, under DISCOVER FTMS, you will see a Renaissance tab.  There, you can see the outline of our Renaissance Program and our theme for this school year:  Kindness is Cool! We really wanted to focus on kindness because we want all the students to learn to be kind and accepting of each other.  Make sure you (and your students) are aware of the requirements for the card levels because those include academics and attendance.

As we push through this semester, we will be taking the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) at the beginning of May. Last year, our students were the highest scoring kids in the district! That is a BIG DEAL!! They are so awesome! However, we will have to work hard to keep up this year!! We want to be a BLUE school again for 2023! Please help us encourage the students during testing week!

We will be making plans for the next school year before we know it, and I will post another letter as we approach the 23-24 school year. Until then, if you have questions, please call the school.
